When emotions begin rising, sometimes it is best to escape to a peaceful place before discussing the conflict at hand.

When you are praying through conflict be open to correction, ready for instruction and grounded in grace.

Conflict is a perfect opportunity to grow closer to our Lord and our spouse.

Nothing is more beautiful than a woman who loves Christ.

Nothing is more masculine than a man who loves Christ.

In the midst of conflict, do not assume anything.

4 I made my works great, I built myself houses, and planted myself vineyards. 5 I made myself gardens and orchards, and I planted all kinds of fruit trees in them. 6 I made myself water pools from which to water the growing trees of the grove.

My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies. 3 I am my beloved's, and my beloved is mine: he feedeth among the lilies.

I went down to the garden of nuts

A truly wise person uses few words; a person with understanding is even-tempered. 28 Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.

1 Declare me innocent, O Lord, for I have acted with integrity;
I have trusted in the Lord without wavering. 2 Put me on trial, Lord, and cross-examine me.
Test my motives and my heart.

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had. 6 Though he was God,
he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. 7 Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;
he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form,  8 he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal's death on a cross.

1 How great is the Lord, how deserving of praise, in the city of our God, which sits on his holy mountain! 2 It is high and magnificent; the whole earth rejoices to see it! Mount Zion, the holy mountain, is the city of the great King! 3 God himself is in Jerusalem's towers, revealing himself as its defender.

3 Don't be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. 4 You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. 5 This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful. They trusted God and accepted the authority of their husbands.

10 When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father's commandments and remain in his love. 11 I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!

16 So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! 17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins."

The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 18 And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. 20 So we are Christ's ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, "Come back to God!" 21 For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
