Psalm 36

Life Lesson (verse Psalm 36)

We should love God and hate sin.

Life Lesson (verse Psalm 36:6)

We are to care for animals and be good stewards of the animals and the land. We will be held responsible and accountable for how we cared for the animals and the land. We are to be good stewards.

Life Lesson (verse Psalm 36)

We should hate the sin in our lives, not the sin in the lives of others.

Life Lesson (verse Psalm 36:7)

David had many wives and the Bible tells of them. Some people think this condones polygamy or the marriage of one man to many wives. David had many family problems, with his many children, from his many wives.

Life Lesson (verse Psalm 36:7)

When the Bible speaks of a man running to be ‘under the wings of the Lord’, it means running to the Lord for shelter and protection.

Life Lesson (verse Psalm 36:12)

David had the heart of the Lord partly in that, every time he failed or sinned, he would get up, dust off, and come and ask for forgiveness.

Life Lesson (verse Psalm 36:12)

It is not how many times we have fallen, but ‘have we gotten up, every time we messed up?’, is the real
question.

Ps 36:4 NLT

They lie awake at night, hatching sinful plots.
Their actions are never good.
They make no attempt to turn from evil.

Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains,
your justice like the ocean depths.
You care for people and animals alike, O Lord.

Ps 36:12 NKJV

There the workers of iniquity have fallen;
They have been cast down and are not able to rise.

Look! Those who do evil have fallen!
They are thrown down, never to rise again.

There they lie fallen, those evildoers,
flung down and unable to rise.

There the doers of iniquity have fallen;

Prov 24:16 KJV

For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

For a righteous man may fall seven times
And rise again,
But the wicked shall fall by calamity.

The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again.
But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.
