In the battle of life, you want your spouse to be armed and trained in the use of spiritual weapons.

The wife sees things the husband does not see, the husband sees things the wife does not see.

The 'Proverbs 31 woman' is not fragile, shy or quiet. She loves her God, her husband, her children and her home with a passion and courage.

As followers of Jesus, we should live purposeful lives, or lives on purpose; not random acts of kindness but intentional acts of God’s forgiveness and love.

If we do not set up God-given goals, purposes and priorities the world will force its goals and priorities upon us, our friends, and our family.

22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. 24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. 28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. 30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. 31 "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh."  32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Who can find a virtuous wife?
For her worth is far above rubies.

• Seek those things which are above.
• Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.
• For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
• Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
• Put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.

• Put off the old man.
• Put on the new man.
• Put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge.
• Put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him.

• Put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;
• Bearing with one another
• Forgiving one another
• Even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 
• But above all these things put on love.

• And let the peace of God rule in your hearts.

• Be thankful.
• Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom.
