16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. 17 It is God's way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do.

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine (what's right), for reproof (what's not right), for correction (to get right), for instruction in righteousness (to stay right),17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of his father David, except that he sacrificed and burned incense at the high places.

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
