An idol is anyone or anything that stands before God in our life. We know it's an idol when we love it, worship it and are willing to sacrifice for it above God.

The pursuit of idols is a worthless venture that only leads to pain. Pursue God alone.

Life Lesson (Jeremiah 10:25)

Godly correction is a critical part of our sanctification because it leads us to repentance which brings us great peace and forgiveness.

The Lord replies, "This has happened because my people have abandoned my instructions; they have refused to obey what I said.

But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire.

2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, 4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

4 Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!  34 "For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counselor?" 35 'Or who has first given to Him And it shall be repaid to him?"  36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.

He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name.

2 When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon and set it by Dagon. 3 And when the people of Ashdod arose early in the morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the earth before the ark of the Lord. So they took Dagon and set it in its place again. 4 And when they arose early the next morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the ground before the ark of the Lord. The head of Dagon and both the palms of its hands were broken off on the threshold; only Dagon's torso was left of it.

Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand, Measured heaven with a span
And calculated the dust of the earth in a measure? Weighed the mountains in scales And the hills in a balance?

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
