Life Lessons Referenced
Life Lesson (Philippians 2:5)

With the mind of Christ, you can be calm in the middle of a stormy sea, and you can forgive those that crucify you.

Life Lesson (Philippians 2:5)

As born-again believers, we have been given the mind of Christ and the peace of God. Just like we can give away the peace of God through anxiety, or selfishness, etc., we can give away the mind or attitude of Christ, through disobedience or anxieties.

Life Lesson (Philippians 2:5)

Jesus came to give His life away and we are here for the same reason; to give our lives away.

Life Lesson (Philippians 2:5)

To be obedient to Scripture, to heal anxiety, and to heal depression, we should serve others.

Life Lesson (Philippians 2:9)

Even the secular world is now recognizing that you can be healed of depression by helping other people.

Verses Referenced and Teaching Notes
Phil 2:1-5 NLT
1 Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? 2 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. 3 Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don't look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. 5 You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
1 Cor 2:9-16 NKJV
9 But as it is written:
"Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."
10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
13 These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For "who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
Phil 2:12-13 NKJV
12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
Phil 2:12-13 NLT
12 Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. 13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
