Teaching Notes
1 Cor 5:7 NKJV
Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.
John 8:10-12 NKJV
10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, "Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?"
11 She said, "No one, Lord."
And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."
12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life."
John 5:14 NKJV
Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, "See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you."
2 Peter 2:20-22 NLT
20 And when people escape from the wickedness of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and then get tangled up and enslaved by sin again, they are worse off than before. 21 It would be better if they had never known the way to righteousness than to know it and then reject the command they were given to live a holy life.
Rom 1:32 NKJV
who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
1 Cor 8:9-13 NLT
9 But you must be careful so that your freedom does not cause others with a weaker conscience to stumble. 10 For if others see you—with your "superior knowledge"—eating in the temple of an idol, won't they be encouraged to violate their conscience by eating food that has been offered to an idol? 11 So because of your superior knowledge, a weak believer for whom Christ died will be destroyed. 12 And when you sin against other believers by encouraging them to do something they believe is wrong, you are sinning against Christ. 13 So if what I eat causes another believer to sin, I will never eat meat again as long as I live—for I don't want to cause another believer to stumble.
Life Lesson
In our fallen human nature we cannot be sinless.  As we apply the blood of Jesus to our lives we should sin less.
Acts 13:37-38 NKJV
37 but He whom God raised up saw no corruption. 38 Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man is preached to you the forgiveness of sins;
Col 2:14-15 NKJV
14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
Rev 12:11 NKJV
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
1 Peter 3:15-17 NLT
15 Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it. 16 But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear. Then if people speak against you, they will be ashamed when they see what a good life you live because you belong to Christ.
Life Lesson
Be praypared to share with and equip the next generation.
Life Lesson
Surrender to God’s salvation plan with thanksgiving and worship.
Heb 9:27-28 NLT
27 And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, 28 so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him.
Life Lesson
Death comes to us everyone. We are called to share Jesus with them. He is the only one who defeated death.
Life Lesson
Choose brokenness, choose humility, choose Christ and the cross and He will lift you up.
Isa 61:1-3 NKJV
1 "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;  2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God;  To comfort all who mourn,  3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes,  The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;  That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."
Ps 119:35 NKJV
Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, For I delight in it.
James 1:6-8 NKJV
6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
Ps 34:20 NKJV
He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken.
John 19:36 NKJV
For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, "Not one of His bones shall be broken."
Deut 30:6 NKJV
And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.
Gal 6:15 NKJV
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation.
1 Cor 11:27-32 NKJV
27 Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. 29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. 30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. 31 For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. 32 But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
Life Lesson
The Blood has the power to: forgive us of our sins, bring us into God’s family, gives us fellowship with the body of Christ, make us more like Jesus, give us His peace, overcome the enemy, disarm the enemy, and cleanse your conscience from a meaningless life without God.
