We should serve God out of love. It shows we are truly thankful for all He has done for us.

Life Lesson (1 Thessalonians 4)

We judge ourselves by our intentions (what we meant to do) and we judge others by their actions, not their intentions. It gives us an unfair comparison, so we look good, and everyone else looks bad.

Life Lesson (1 Thessalonians 4)

To break with the past and join a new kingdom your old home was destroyed.

Life Lesson (1 Thessalonians 4:)

If you don't break with your past, you consider it an option to go back. When hard times come you will go back.

6 since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, 7 and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, 10 when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed.

Revelation 21:3-5 NKJV
3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them [and be] their God. 4 “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” 5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”
Philippians 3:19 KJV
Whose end [is] destruction, whose God [is their] belly, and [whose] glory [is] in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
1 Thessalonians 5:3 KJV
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
Philippians 3:19 NKJV
whose end [is] destruction, whose god [is their] belly, and [whose] glory [is] in their shame--who set their mind on earthly things.
Philippians 3:19 CSB

Philippians 3:19 NLT

1 Thessalonians 5:1-5 NKJV
1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. 4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. 5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
Isaiah 59:3-8 NKJV
3 For your hands are defiled with blood, And your fingers with iniquity; Your lips have spoken lies, Your tongue has muttered perversity. 4 No one calls for justice, Nor does [any] plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; They conceive evil and bring forth iniquity. 5 They hatch vipers’ eggs and weave the spider’s web; He who eats of their eggs dies, And [from] that which is crushed a viper breaks out. 6 Their webs will not become garments, Nor will they cover themselves with their works; Their works [are] works of iniquity, And the act of violence [is] in their hands. 7 Their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed innocent blood; Their thoughts [are] thoughts of iniquity; Wasting and destruction [are] in their paths. 8 The way of peace they have not known, And [there is] no justice in their ways; They have made themselves crooked paths; Whoever takes that way shall not know peace.
1 John 1:6-10 NKJV
6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
1 John 1:4-5 NKJV
4 And these things we write to you that your joy may be full. 5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
Psalms 58:3-4 NKJV
3 The wicked are estranged from the womb; They go astray as soon as they are born, speaking lies. 4 Their poison [is] like the poison of a serpent; [They are] like the deaf cobra [that] stops its ear,
Job 38:32-37 NKJV
32 Can you bring out Mazzaroth in its season? Or can you guide the Great Bear with its cubs? 33 Do you know the ordinances of the heavens? Can you set their dominion over the earth? 34 “Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, That an abundance of water may cover you? 35 Can you send out lightnings, that they may go, And say to you, ‘Here we [are!]’? 36 Who has put wisdom in the mind? Or who has given understanding to the heart? 37 Who can number the clouds by wisdom? Or who can pour out the bottles of heaven,
Isaiah 1:16-20 NKJV
16 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil, 17 Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor; Defend the fatherless, Plead for the widow. 18 “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. 19 If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land; 20 But if you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword”; For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
Isaiah 53:4-7 NKJV
4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He [was] wounded for our transgressions, [He was] bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace [was] upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth.
Isaiah 57:15-16 NKJV
15 For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name [is] Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy [place,] With him [who] has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones. 16 For I will not contend forever, Nor will I always be angry; For the spirit would fail before Me, And the souls [which] I have made.
John 7:37-41 NKJV
37 On the last day, that great [day] of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” 39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet [given,] because Jesus was not yet glorified. 40 Therefore many from the crowd, when they heard this saying, said, “Truly this is the Prophet.” 41 Others said, “This is the Christ.” But some said, “Will the Christ come out of Galilee?
Isaiah 12:2-3 NKJV
2 Behold, God [is] my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For YAH, the LORD, [is] my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.’ ” 3 Therefore with joy you will draw water From the wells of salvation.

Life Lesson
Unfortunately, at times, no one recognized the sacrifices of Jesus. At times, we don’t recognize the ones sacrificing to bless us.
Life Lesson
Quit longing for what used to be and focus on what could be, if you were fully engaged. Stop whining and wanting to go back to Egypt.
Life Lesson
Jesus died for our sins before we were born. He paid for our sins, before we had personally committed our first sin.
Life Lesson
We don’t honor our parents.
We don’t honor our leaders.
We don’t honor pastors.
We don’t honor God.
We should repent.
Some will, some won’t.
Life Lesson
Jesus gave us reasons and commands to fully love one another. He showed us what love look likes. We give Jesus our excuses of why we can’t love.
Life Lesson
Jesus tells us to love one another completely and love the unlovable and to love the least of these. Most ‘Christians’ today don’t do any of that. Most ‘Christians’ today don’t even love the people they go to church with, much less love the unlovable and the unsaved.
Genesis 49:1 KJV
And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you [that] which shall befall you in the last days.

But in the last days it shall come to pass, [that] the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.

James 5:3 KJV
Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
2 Peter 3:3 KJV
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
Sin and Leprosy
  1. Like Leprosy, sin is very contagious: complaining, gossip, drinking, etc.
  2. Like leprosy, sin makes you unclean, and if you don’t realize you have a disease, you are in real trouble.
  3. Like leprosy, sin isolates. You had to go outside the camp. Sin causes you to stay away from church. So does sickness and caring for the sick.
  4. Like leprosy, sin is observable, you can see sin in people’s lives.
  5. You cannot always see leprosy, sometimes it was covered. Just like you cannot always see sin, some is hidden. You can see the symptoms.
  6. Like leprosy, sin is deadly.
  7. Leprosy could come out of an injury, a scab, a burn, or a boil. Like leprosy, sin often comes from injury, or a perceived injury.
  8. Like leprosy, sin needs a cure, it needs healing.
  9. Like leprosy, sin will kill you if left unchecked and uncured.
  10. Like leprosy, sin will kill you if you don’t show it to the High Priest or pastor. The High Priest is a symbol of both the Savior and a picture of your local pastor. If you don’t show it to the Savior, it will kill you. If you don’t show your sin to both, Savior and local pastor, it will probably kill you.
  11. With leprosy and sin, if you deny it exists it will kill you.
  12. With leprosy and sin, if you try to figure out where it came from (whose fault it is) instead of being healed or treated, you will die from them.
  13. Like leprosy, sin can cause a re-infection and we must be careful.
  14. Like leprosy, sin is both healed, and kept away, by being clean and cleaner.
  15. Like leprosy, sin can cause panic, depression, and death if not dealt with.
  16. Like leprosy, sin will cause destruction, destruction of body, home, marriage, and family.
  17. Like leprosy, sin can now be healed.
  18. Like leprosy, if you deny you have sin, it becomes deadly thru its non-treatment.
  19. Leprosy like sin (and like the enemy) without the Lord will steal, kill, and destroy all it touches.
  20. Leprosy, like sin, will bring death to your relationships, your emotions, and even your soul before the body dies.
  21. Like leprosy brings a numbness, a death of good feeling; sin brings a numbness to love, sin robs you of good emotions.
  22. Leprosy and sin take what is good and make it bad. Sleeping is good and needed but with sin it becomes either laziness or insomnia. Eating is good but with sin it becomes either gluttony or starving. Sex is good in marriage, but sin uses sex to wage war between husband and wife (not bring them together). Sex outside the marriage destroys homes, destroys marriages and hurts children. Sin takes what is good and makes it bad.
  23. Leprosy, like sin, will land you outside the camp.
  24. Leprosy, like sin, will damage and steal fellowship with others. Leprosy thru being unclean keeps you from others. sin thru staying away from church keeps you from others.
  25. Leprosy like sin seems to be a small problem at first but it is quite deadly.
  26. Leprosy like sin starts small but then consumes you, takes you over completely.
  27. Lepers say, “God, if you will heal me I will come to You.” God says, “Lepers and sinners if you come to Me, I will heal you; heal your thinking.”
  28. For sin and leprosy, only God can heal,

Matthew 8:16-17 NKJV
16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore [our] sicknesses.”
1 Peter 2:21-25 NKJV
21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: 22 “Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth”; 23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed [Himself] to Him who judges righteously; 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed. 25 For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
Life Lesson
In the Bible when Jesus healed leprosy and diseases the leprosy and diseases did not just disappear. Jesus took our diseases upon Himself.
Life Lesson
God gave us the sin and leprosy connection so we could see the ugliness and the damage of sin.
Leviticus 14:39-42 NKJV
39 “And the priest shall come again on the seventh day and look; and indeed [if] the plague has spread on the walls of the house, 40 “then the priest shall command that they take away the stones in which [is] the plague, and they shall cast them into an unclean place outside the city. 41 “And he shall cause the house to be scraped inside, all around, and the dust that they scrape off they shall pour out in an unclean place outside the city. 42 “Then they shall take other stones and put [them] in the place of [those] stones, and he shall take other mortar and plaster the house.

1 Peter 2:4 KJV

1 Peter 2:4-9 NKJV
 4 Coming to Him [as to] a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God [and] precious, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.” 7 Therefore, to you who believe, [He is] precious; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone,” 8 and “A stone of stumbling And a rock of offense.” They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed. 9 But you [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Luke 4:24-28 NKJV
24 Then He said, “Assuredly, I say to you, no prophet is accepted in his own country. 25 “But I tell you truly, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, and there was a great famine throughout all the land; 26 “but to none of them was Elijah sent except to Zarephath, [in the region] of Sidon, to a woman [who was] a widow. 27 “And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, and none of them was cleansed except Naaman the Syrian.” 28 So all those in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,
Life Lesson
As Jesus points out, not one Israeli was healed of leprosy.
Luke 4:17-23
17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: 18 “The Spirit of the LORD [is] upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to [the] poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to [the] captives And recovery of sight to [the ]blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; 19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” 20 Then He closed the book, and gave [it] back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. 21 And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” 22 So all bore witness to Him, and marveled at the gracious words which proceeded out of His mouth. And they said, “Is this not Joseph’s son?” 23 He said to them, “You will surely say this proverb to Me, ‘Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in Your country.’ ”
Isaiah 61:1-4 NKJV
1 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to [those who are] bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” 4 And they shall rebuild the old ruins, They shall raise up the former desolations, And they shall repair the ruined cities, The desolations of many generations.

Life Lesson
We need to think and act more biblically. We act and think more Greek than Hebrew; more the way of the world, than biblical.
Life Lesson
We think death as permanent and life as passing, when for the believer it is life that is permanent and lasting, and death that is passing and temporary.
Isaiah 25:5-9 NKJV
5 You will reduce the noise of aliens, As heat in a dry place; [As] heat in the shadow of a cloud, The song of the terrible ones will be diminished. 6 And in this mountain The LORD of hosts will make for all people A feast of choice pieces, A feast of wines on the lees, Of fat things full of marrow, Of well-refined wines on the lees. 7 And He will destroy on this mountain The surface of the covering cast over all people, And the veil that is spread over all nations. 8 He will swallow up death forever, And the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from all faces; The rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; For the LORD has spoken. 9 And it will be said in that day: “Behold, this [is] our God; We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This [is] the LORD; We have waited for Him; We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.”

Life Lesson
If God has chosen this path for me, involving pain, I will not run from it, I will walk thru it and I will choose to honor the Lord.
Revelation 21:3-6 NKJV
3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God [is] with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them [and be] their God. 4 “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” 5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” 6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.

You were not created to fit into the world. Stop trying.
You were created to glorify God. Start doing.
Philippians 3:1-5 NKJV
1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you [is] not tedious, but for you [it is] safe. 2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilation! 3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh, 4 though I also might have confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he may have confidence in the flesh, I more so: 5 circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, [of] the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee;

Life Lesson
What I want must be given to the Lord, to let the Lord decide and the Lord lead your life.
Life Lesson
Is God your Lord? That means you are led by Him, not by yourself, not by your self, your selfishness.
Life Lesson
Don’t make your life plans and then ask God to bless them. Ask God what your life plans should be.
Life Lesson
We believe WE made a decision for God the day we come to Him. In fact, that is the day the seed sprouted. The seed of the Gospel, with love and acts of kindness, was always planted by someone else before that.
Life Lesson
Today’s Christian does not consider they could be wrong and someone else could be right. Very few understand what their flesh is capable of.
Life Lesson
You have the ability to be wrong as a Christian. You have the ability to hurt people in your flesh as a Christian. If you assume you are always, spiritually and arrogantly right, you will never consider the other person being right.
Life Lesson
We have the most scripturally illiterate, the most arrogant, prideful, corrupted Christians that have existed in the 2,000 years of the church age.
Psalm 139:14 KJV
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made: marvellous [are] thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well.
Psalm 139:14 NKJV
I will praise You, for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And [that] my soul knows very well.
1 Cor 6:20 NKJV
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
