How much have you been forgiven of?
How much have you forgiven others of?
Have you received forgiveness? Have you given everyone forgiveness?
The history of the world is truly His Story, the story of Gods interaction with man, and the story of the Bible. Keep learning and reading about history will give you wisdom for the future.
The church has been divided by masks/no masks, by vaxx or no vaxx, by political party, by pre and post tribulation raptures, and in some places even by race, it is time for Christians to walk in the unity of Christ.
The Bible tells us to mark divisive people and stay away from them, even if we love them, especially if we love them.
King David, son of Jesse, who was the grandson of Ruth and Boaz, who valued Biblical service and excellence over victimhood.
Each and everyone of us feels like running off and doing our own thing, at some point in time. But godly people dig in, stay and serve.
When we open our hearts as Christians, it is part of life that that will go so well and beautiful sometimes, and it will sometimes go tragically wrong. It wouldn’t hurt so much if it wasn’t the wounds of friends. Remember Jesus was kissed on the face… but only by His betrayer Judas.
In our moment of crisis, will we run to the foot of the cross and the feet of Jesus? or will we run and lean on our own under-standing and lean on it?
We too often think of ourselves as a heart of David and think of others as well the heart of Saul, when Jesus, and the Bible, is trying to teach us to look at others as with the heart of David, and look at our own heart as the heart of Saul.
In our heart of flesh, we often try to crucify the heart of Saul in others, when the Holy Spirit is only wanting to crucify the heart of King Saul in us, our selfish heart, our judgmental heart.
Every heart still beating, still needs changing.
When God forgives us, He puts our sins into the seas and says ‘no fishing allowed’. How do we forgive others?
What we plant for other in vengeance we often harvest for ourselves in bitterness.
God has two ways of answering prayer, ‘yes’ and ‘I have a better idea’. 💡
Which person are you in that story? Are you the proud Pharisee? Or the grateful sinner?
