The Gospel of Jesus Christ is seen throughout Scripture.

As believers, when we encourage one another in word and deed, we are glorifying God in everything!

God's Spirit in us often gives us an inner check on those who exhibit the 'false negative'.

Our initial response to an event, in word or action, often reveals the greater depths of our soul.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

10 Who can find a virtuous and capable wife?  She is more precious than rubies. 11 Her husband can trust her,  and she will greatly enrich his life. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.

3 We are human, but we don't wage war as humans do. 4 We use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. 5 We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.

12 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice--the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. 2 Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

12 I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. 15 Let all who are spiritually mature agree on these things. If you disagree on some point, I believe God will make it plain to you. 16 But we must hold on to the progress we have already made.

Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips.

10 As it is written:"There is none righteous, no, not one; 11 There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God.  12 They have all turned aside; They have together become  unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one." 13 "Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit"; "The poison of asps is under their lips";  14 "Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness." 15 "Their feet are swift to shed blood;  16 Destruction and misery are in their ways; 17 And the way of peace they have not known."  18 "There is no fear of God before their eyes."

28 And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, (even) to them that are called according to (his) purpose. 29 For whom he foreknew, he also foreordained (to be) conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren:

12 Thieves are jealous of each other's loot, but the godly are well rooted and bear their own fruit. 13 The wicked are trapped by their own words, but the godly escape such trouble.

17 An honest witness tells the truth; a false witness tells lies. 18 Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing. 19 Truthful words stand the test of time, but lies are soon exposed. 20 Deceit fills hearts that are plotting evil; joy fills hearts that are planning peace! 21 No harm comes to the godly, but the wicked have their fill of trouble. 22 The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in those who tell the truth.

Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave.

In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.
