Working just for money is a sure way to unhappiness.

Use things don't use people. Love people don't love things.

Don't have unrealistic expectations of people in your life, or you doom those relationships to pain and then failure.

Don't let the haters control, impact or even influence your life.

There are no hopeless situations, only people that are without hope.

Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

"Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.

37 Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'  38 This is the first and great commandment.  39 And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'  40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets."

18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

The only thing I failed to do, which I do in the other churches, was to become a financial burden to you. Please forgive me for this wrong!

You missed out on only one blessing that the other churches received. That is, you didn't have to support me. Forgive me for doing you wrong.

How were you treated any worse than the other churches, except that I did not bother you for financial help? Please forgive me for being so unfair!

Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches.

Those who are taught the word of God should provide for their teachers, sharing all good things with them.

Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine.

Church leaders who do their job well deserve to be paid twice as much, especially if they work hard at preaching and teaching.

Elders who do their work well should be respected and paid well, especially those who work hard at both preaching and teaching.

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

Now I am coming to you for the third time, and I will not be a burden to you. I don't want what you have—I want you. After all, children don't provide for their parents. Rather, parents provide for their children.

I will gladly spend myself and all I have for you, even though it seems that the more I love you, the less you love me.

For I am afraid that when I come I won't like what I find, and you won't like my response. I am afraid that I will find quarreling, jealousy, anger, selfishness, slander, gossip, arrogance, and disorderly behavior.

20 If someone says, "I love God," but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar; for if we don't love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see? 21 And he has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their Christian brothers and sisters.

We love each other because he loved us first.

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

21 Yet I still dare to hope
when I remember this:
22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
23 Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.
24 I say to myself, "The Lord is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in him!"
