Good works open the door for evangelism.

Fear of man can scramble our priorities.

We should have a healthy fear (or respect) of God and leaders, not an unhealthy fear of God or men.

Both faith and fear are contagious. Which one are you spreading to others?

15 Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, 16 and you say, "Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well"—but then you don't give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?

9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained

But when Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him to his face, for what he did was very wrong.

14 Now when Jesus had come into Peter's house, He saw his wife's mother lying sick with a fever. 15 So He touched her hand, and the fever left her. And she arose and served them.

But Simon's wife's mother lay sick with a fever, and they told Him about her at once.

38 Now He arose from the synagogue and entered Simon's house. But Simon's wife's mother was sick with a high fever, and they made request of Him concerning her. 39 So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them.

When he first arrived, he ate with the Gentile Christians, who were not circumcised. But afterward, when some friends of James came, Peter wouldn't eat with the Gentiles anymore. He was afraid of criticism from these people who insisted on the necessity of circumcision.

The fear of man brings a snare, But whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.

Fearing people is a dangerous trap, but trusting the Lord means safety.

But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: "We ought to obey God rather than men.

"Don't be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

So we may boldly say: "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"

1 Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. 2 So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished. 3 For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you. 4 The authorities are God's servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God's servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong. 5 So you must submit to them, not only to avoid punishment, but also to keep a clear conscience.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits.
