Daniel - Potent Prayer

Life Lesson

PURPOSE to keep your convictions according to the Word of God even when all else seems to fail. Be faithful to the Lord and His word.

Life Lesson

Gratitude is the attitude that sets the altitude of your walk with Jesus.

Life Lesson

Our prayer life shouldn't be relegated to just crisis control. It's meant to be consistent communion and connection with Christ.

Life Lesson

Private prayer should be in a particular place, progressively persistent, intentionally prepared, knee bent (HEART) posture, appointments KEPT with the Lord.

Dan 1:8 NKJV

But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's delicacies, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the chief of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

1 Cor 10:21-24 NLT

21 You cannot drink from the cup of the Lord and from the cup of demons, too. You cannot eat at the Lord's Table and at the table of demons, too. 22 What? Do we dare to rouse the Lord's jealousy? Do you think we are stronger than he is? 23 You say, "I am allowed to do anything"—but not everything is good for you. You say, "I am allowed to do anything"—but not everything is beneficial. 24 Don't be concerned for your own good but for the good of others.

Dan 9:2-3 NKJV

2 in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the Lord through Jeremiah the prophet that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. 3 Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes.

Dan 6:10 NKJV

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.

Matthew 23:37-39 NKJV

““O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’"

Phil 2:9-11 NKJV

9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Ps 55:17 NKJV

Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice.

Isa 50:4 NKJV

"The Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens me morning by morning, He awakens my ear to hear as the learned.

Ephesians 5:4 NKJV

But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.

1 Thess 5:16-18 NKJV

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

1 Peter 4:7 NLT

The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.
