Psalm 18:1-8

Life Lesson (verse Psalm 18:1)

We should make sure our problems with following God, are not foundational issues.

David is saying 'the Lord is my strength', but also it is David's love for God, that gives David his strength and faith.

Life Lesson (verse Psalm 18:2)

You have got to make your relationship with God personal.

Life Lesson (verse Psalm 18:4)

David, one of the most courageous men to ever live, who took down by himself (with God) a lion, a bear, and Goliath, was also willing to admit he got afraid.

Life Lesson (verse Psalm 18:4)

It is OK to have fear, do not let fear have you. Do not let fear make decisions, or control you.

James 4:7-8a (partial) NKJV

7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Matt 12:43-45 NKJV

43 "When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none.  44 Then he says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.' And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order.  45 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation."
