Exodus 20:13 - Murder was the Case that they Gave Me

Life Lesson (verse Exodus 20:13)

God’s intention for us is to multiply and be fruitful, not to destroy and harm people that God created in His image.

Life Lesson (verse Exodus 20:13)

Daily fellowship, sticking to the teaching of the Word, eating together, praying together, being generous together, and praising God is how God’s promise for adding and multiplying comes to the body Christ.

Life Lesson (verse Exodus 20:13)

The Bible states there is justified killing in war, in certain crimes after due process, and protecting our homes and families.

Life Lesson (verse Exodus 20:13)

Unkind words often reveal us as systematic serial killers. Whereas words that encourage and build us up in the Lord bring life.

Life Lesson (verse Exodus 20:13)

Be reconciled. Stop playing in the prison of unresolved conflicts being taxed on your own mind, admit you are a chief of sinners and fail.  Ask for forgiveness and give forgiveness frequently in fellowship with others.

Ex 20:13 NKJV

You shall not murder.

Exodus 20:13 AMP

“You shall not commit murder (unjustified, deliberate homicide).

Gen 4:6-15 NKJV

6 So the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it."
8 Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.
9 Then the Lord said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?"
He said, "I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?"
10 And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground. 11 So now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. 12 When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth."
13 And Cain said to the Lord, "My punishment is greater than I can bear! 14 Surely You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; I shall be hidden from Your face; I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth, and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me."
15 And the Lord said to him,  "Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold." And the Lord set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him.

Gen 4:23-24 NKJV

23 Then Lamech said to his wives: "Adah and Zillah, hear my voice; Wives of Lamech, listen to my speech! For I have killed a man for wounding me, Even a young man for hurting me.  24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, Then Lamech seventy-sevenfold."

Gen 6:11 NKJV

The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

Gen 9:6-7 NKJV

6 "Whoever sheds man's blood, By man his blood shall be shed; For in the image of God He made man.  7 And as for you, be fruitful and multiply; Bring forth abundantly in the earth And multiply in it."

Acts 2:41-47 NKJV

41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.  42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.
46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

Acts 6:7 NKJV

Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Ex 22:2-4 NKJV

2 If the thief is found breaking in, and he is struck so that he dies, there shall be no guilt for his bloodshed. 3 If the sun has risen on him, there shall be guilt for his bloodshed. He should make full restitution; if he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft. 4 If the theft is certainly found alive in his hand, whether it is an ox or donkey or sheep, he shall restore double.

Luke 22:36-38 NKJV

36 Then He said to them, "But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one.  37 For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: 'And He was numbered with the transgressors.' For the things concerning Me have an end." 38 So they said, "Lord, look, here are two swords." And He said to them, "It is enough."

Luke 6:45 NKJV

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Eph 4:29-32 NKJV

29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
