Our relationship with God should be constant, not just when something good or bad happens. His love is expressed in every detail of our lives even when we can’t comprehend.

The fear of the Lord is what draws us to the Lord and helps to make us more like the Lord.

God will go to whatever length is necessary, to gain our attention and hold our affection, in demonstrating His love towards us.

Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. 6 And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”

Then all the people answered together and said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do.”

Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.
