Bearing fruit is a part of discipleship. To bear fruit is simply abiding in a relationship with Christ and following in His ways.

You were made sufficient through Christ, and now stand sufficient in Him!

Jesus must be the Rock on which we stand, because all other ground is sinking sand.

Our sorrows turn to celebrations in the comfort of the Lord.

20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings.  21 Do not let them depart from your eyes;  Keep them in the midst of your heart;  22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.  23 Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of [e]the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

1. Called for the elders
2. Specific Call to Jesus
3. His Spiritual Character was already established

4 And we have such trust through Christ toward God. 5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, 6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.
