Where am I with respect to my attitude toward God’s Word being truth? We as Christians have to continue to build God’s word as our light, our only rule of faith and practice.

What things do you have/use in your everyday life that call you to remember God’s Word or what God has done for you? How are you passing to the next generation (and the next) your attitude toward God’s Word?

As Christians we should be consistently striving for greater service, greater maturity.

As Christians we should only use God’s name for prayer, praise, invocation, and thanksgiving.

The bottom line is that we as Christians are individually responsible for what we do and why we do it for which we will give an account – at which time there will be no excuses, no justifications, only personal responsibility.

2 “Speak to Aaron, and say to him, ‘When you arrange the lamps, the seven lamps shall give light in front of the lampstand.’ ” 3 And Aaron did so; he arranged the lamps to face toward the front of the lampstand, as the Lord commanded Moses. 4 Now this workmanship of the lampstand was hammered gold; from its shaft to its flowers it was hammered work. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Purposes for using God’s name – invocation, prayer, praise, thanksgiving

9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
 

24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27 For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
