Isaiah 3-4 - You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet!

Life Lesson (verse Isaiah 3:1)

Allow Him to be your brother, father, friend and Master over your life.

Life Lesson (verse Isaiah 3:5)

Discipline and disciple your kids in Jesus. Read the Bible with them, pray with them, talk about Jesus, and talk to Jesus with them. Allow Him to lead you to lead them.

Life Lesson (verse Isaiah 3:7)

Say a little, do a lot, woo, no excuses - NF

Life Lesson (verse Isaiah 3:9)

We must get our autonomy under the authority and accountability of Jesus and the body of Christ. So in our life, instead of always dropping the ball, we love and help one another in getting the ball to Jesus. He is our go-to guy!

Life Lesson (verse Isaiah 3:10)

Stay in Him and in His word, then you’ll abide and abound with a fruitfulness, no matter what’s taking place on planet earth, that will nourish you.

Life Lesson (verse Isaiah 3:15)

Make sharing the Gospel and making disciples of the poor a high priority. God does.

Life Lesson (verse Isaiah 3:24)

We need Godly women to build up their husbands, children, homes, and the body of Christ, not breaking them down. That is a witness from the Lord we can all benefit from and be blessed by. Pray for it and encourage it when you see it.

Life Lesson (verse Isaiah 4:6)

If we are really born again, we want to be washed, have the presence of the LORD, and enjoy His protection. Many people only want the LORD's constant presence and protection. But He doesn't grant those apart from His cleansing.- Guzik

Isaiah 4:2 NKJV

In that day the Branch of the Lord shall be beautiful and glorious; And the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and appealing For those of Israel who have escaped.

2 Timothy 3:1-4 AMP

1 But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times [of great stress and trouble] will come [difficult days that will be hard to bear]. 2 For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane, 3 [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane], irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control [intemperate, immoral], brutal, haters of good, 4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of [outward] godliness (religion), although they have denied its power [for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith]. Avoid such people and keep far away from them.

Matthew 25:31-46 AMP

31But when the Son of Man comes in His glory and majesty and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him [for judgment]; and He will separate them from one another, as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats; 33 and He will put the sheep on His right [the place of honor], and the goats on His left [the place of rejection]. 34 “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father [you favored of God, appointed to eternal salvation], inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36 I was naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me [with help and ministering care]; I was in prison, and you came to Me [ignoring personal danger].’ 37 Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 38 And when did we see You as a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39 And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 The King will answer and say to them, ‘I assure you and most solemnly say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it for Me.’41 “Then He will say to those on His left, ‘Leave Me, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels (demons); 42 for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; 43 I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me [with help and ministering care].’ 44 Then they also [in their turn] will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or as a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ 45 Then He will reply to them, ‘I assure you and most solemnly say to you, to the extent that you did not do it for one of the least of these [my followers], you did not do it for Me.’ 46 Then these [unbelieving people] will go away into eternal (unending) punishment, but those who are righteous and in right standing with God [will go, by His remarkable grace] into eternal (unending) life.”

1 Corinthians 11:31-32 AMP

31 But if we evaluated and judged ourselves honestly [recognizing our shortcomings and correcting our behavior], we would not be judged. 32 But when we [fall short and] are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined [by undergoing His correction] so that we will not be condemned [to eternal punishment] along with the world.

2 Peter 2:7-9 NKJV

7 and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked 8 (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds) —  9 then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment,

1 Peter 4:17 AMP

For it is the time [destined] for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not respect or believe or obey the gospel of God?

The Mosaic legislation regarding the poor is especially important.

  1. They had the right of gleaning the fields (Leviticus 19:9-10; Deuteronomy 24:19-21).
  2. In the sabbatical year they were to have their share of the produce of the fields and the vineyards (Exodus 23:11; Leviticus 25:6).
  3. In the year of jubilee they recovered their property (Leviticus 25:25-30).
  4. Usury was forbidden, and the pledged raiment was to be returned before the sun went down (Exodus 22:25-27; Deuteronomy 24:10-13).
  5. The rich were to be generous to the poor (Deuteronomy 15:7-11).
  6. In the sabbatical and jubilee years the bond-servant was to go free (Deuteronomy 15:12-15; Leviticus 25:39-42, 47-54).
  7. Certain portions from the tithes were assigned to the poor (Deuteronomy 14:28-29; 26:12-13).
  8. They shared in the feasts (Deuteronomy 16:11, 14; Nehemiah 8:10).
  9. Wages were to be paid at the close of each day (Leviticus 19:13).

Zech 13:8-9 NKJV

8 And it shall come to pass in all the land," Says the Lord, "That two-thirds in it shall be cut off and die,
But one-third shall be left in it: 9 I will bring the one-third through the fire, Will refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them. I will say, 'This is My people'; And each one will say, 'The Lord is my God.'"

1 Cor 3:13-15 NLT

13 But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person's work has any value. 14 If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. 15 But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames.

1 Peter 1:6-7 NLT

6 So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. 7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

1 Peter 4:12-13 NLT

12 Dear friends, don't be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. 13 Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.
