When you read the name of a location in the Bible, look it up. It could be naming an ancient broader region you haven’t heard of, but that contains cities within it you do know of.

A disciple of Jesus exhibits and reflects the principles and teachings of Christ, and many are impacted by the Holy Spirit through them.

WITH ALL DILIGENCE Add VIRTUE to your faith Add KNOWLEDGE to your virtue Add SELF-CONTROL to your knowledge Add PERSEVERANCE to your self-control Add GODLINESS to your perseverance Add BROTHERLY KINDNESS to your godliness Add LOVE to your brotherly kindness AND YOU WILL NOT BE BARREN NOR UNFRUITFUL

The WORD is vital for the stability and fruitfulness of a believer. Through it Jesus speaks, encourages, builds us up, equips and prepares us for the past, present and future.

Having a good testimony among others of following Jesus. Being willing and ready to reach and teach. Building your life upon the Word Having faith that the Word is foundational for growth.

A disciple of Jesus will never get to a place where they don’t have to trust God.

A disciple of Jesus is wise to not let bitterness from a closed door blind them from the joy of an open door.

Anyone can be a disciple of Jesus. It starts with submitting to Him as Lord of your life, and receiving the forgiveness of your sins.

There is a door open today, it may not be open tomorrow.

And he went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.

But Paul said, “I am a Jew from Tarsus, in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city; and I implore you, permit me to speak to the people.”

7 But reject profane and old wives' fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. 8 For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come. 9 This [is] a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance. 10 For to this [end] we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is [the] Savior of all men, especially of those who believe. 11 These things command and teach. 12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 13 Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership.

19 For though I am free from all [men,] I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more; 20 and to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those [who are] under the law, as under the law, that I might win those [who are] under the law; 21 to those [who are] without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those [who are] without law; 22 to the weak I became as weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all [men,] that I might by all means save some. 23 Now this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I may be partaker of it with [you.]

Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are yours and abound, [you] will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

1 Blessed [is] the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight [is] in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

13 You know that because of physical infirmity I preached the gospel to you at the first.

4 And finding disciples, we stayed there seven days. They told Paul through the Spirit not to go up to Jerusalem.

10 And as we stayed many days, a certain prophet named Agabus came down from Judea. 11 When he had come to us, he took Paul's belt, bound his [own] hands and feet, and said, "Thus says the Holy Spirit, 'So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man who owns this belt, and deliver [him] into the hands of the Gentiles.' " 12 Now when we heard these things, both we and those from that place pleaded with him not to go up to Jerusalem. 13 Then Paul answered, "What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus." 14 So when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, "The will of the Lord be done."

1 Now Sarai, Abram's wife, had borne him no [children]. And she had an Egyptian maidservant whose name was Hagar. 2 So Sarai said to Abram, "See now, the LORD has restrained me from bearing [children]. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her." And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai. 3 Then Sarai, Abram's wife, took Hagar her maid, the Egyptian, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan.

41 "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

12 "But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

6 since [it is] a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, 7 and to [give] you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,

10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet [are]. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. ... 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness--indignation and wrath,

29 'For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 'And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
