Ruth 1

Life Lesson (verse Ruth 1:5)

If you run from trials they will chase you. If you simply endure your trials then you have paid dearly and gained nothing. If you walk victoriously through your trials then you have learned from them, risen above them and nothing has been wasted. Trials will either make you better or bitter. You choose.

Life Lesson (verse Ruth 1:13)

We naturally think of ourselves. We supernaturally think of others.

Life Lesson (verse Ruth1:15)

The Bible challenges us to live outside of ourselves. The Holy Spirit gives us the power to live outside of ourselves. Jesus models how we are to live outside of ourselves. God tells us to live outside of ourselves.

Life Lesson (verse Ruth 1:20)

We have a decision every day - to be a Naomi or a Mara.

Life Lesson (verse Ruth 1:21)

We are not to complain and we are to be thankful.

Deut 23:3-6 NKJV

3 "An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter the assembly of the LORD; even to the tenth generation none of his descendants shall enter the assembly of the LORD forever, 4 because they did not meet you with bread and water on the road when you came out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you. 5 Nevertheless the LORD your God would not listen to Balaam, but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the LORD your God loves you. 6 You shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity all your days forever.

Deut 25:5 NKJV
