The law condemns and curses anyone who fails at trying to be justified by it. No one can be justified by the law.
We can go from burdened to blessed, from worry to worship, from restless to rest, from focusing on ourselves and the problem, to focusing on the wonder and the praises of God, if we focus on God. We go from sighing to singing when we spend time with God, worship and His Word, especially when we are troubled.
Only people ignorant of the law's holy demands try to keep it to gain God's approval. The law requires perfection in thought, word, and deed.
The Ten Commandments will not get anyone into heaven, they were not meant for that. They are a mirror that show we need cleansing, forgiving, a savior, a Messiah.
When we truly understand grace (God's undeserved love toward us) it helps us draw closer to God and fellowship more with His people.
