Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.
in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,
Mark and remember the moment when you were saved and began living wholeheartedly for Jesus.
12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body — whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free — and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many.
And Abraham said, My son, God will provide Himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth.
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
18 knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Make sure Jesus is your personal Lord and Savior.
Now it was the third hour (9am), and they crucified Him.
33 Now when the sixth hour (12pm) had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour (3pm). 34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" which is translated, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?"
35 Some of those who stood by, when they heard that, said, "Look, He is calling for Elijah!" 36 Then someone ran and filled a sponge full of sour wine, put it on a reed, and offered it to Him to drink, saying, "Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to take Him down." 37 And Jesus cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last.
For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.'
In fact, according to the law of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.
Christianity without the cross and blood of Jesus is a dead and damned religion. Christianity that is centered upon Jesus, His death, and His blood providing for our forgiveness is the heart, soul, and truest connection that brings us into a real relationship with Him.
6 Your glorying is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? 7 Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
"Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
Good understanding giveth favour:
but the way of transgressors is hard.
God tells us we need to be reminded that living apart from Jesus Christ and His word is way more difficult than it is living for Him.
Who can stand before His indignation? And who can endure the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, And the rocks are thrown down by Him.
For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.
Jesus is the living Word of God. With Him it’s not part or partial. It’s all or none.
"Let your waist be girded and your lamps burning;
And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,
The Blood has the power to: forgive us of our sins, bring us into God’s family, gives us fellowship with the body of Christ, make us more like Jesus, give us His peace, overcome the enemy, disarm the enemy, and cleanse your conscience from a meaningless life without God.
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, "Take, eat; this is My body."
27 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. 28 For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 29 But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom."
24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me." 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."
Remember, ruminate, and reflect often on Jesus and His death for you, He is your Passover lamb.
